Bakersfield, home invasion again.

Last night about 10:20 PM 3 males do a home invassion. Home owner is 70+ years old. Fights back, gets his gun and shoots two BG`s. One invader dead on the front lawn, one wounded, one ran away only to be caught shortly by the LEO`s. This is in one of the "BETTER" parts of town. My mother says its not what part of town you live in, crime is all around us.

Yes, crime does run thru all neighborhoods; and the bad guy's need
to be stopped. So if the perp gets shot in the process, then so be it.

My mother says its not what part of town you live in, crime is all around us.

Mom's right. The only safe neighborhoods are those criminals can't drive to in purchased, stolen, or borrowed cars: not many.

I am kinda wondering about the article though ... the one line, "Norman Laxson, who has sold guns online ..." was rather a non sequitur in the total context of the story.

Well more info is coming out. Seems the invaders knocked on the door and the 69 yr lod wife opens it. The invaders rushed into the home, where the 71 yr old husband was. The invaders held a gun on the wife, and fought with the old man. Old man got a gun and fought back. the paper printed that the old man was an "online gun dealer". SFW! This Liberal rag (The Bakersfield Californian) is trying to make it seem as though the old man is the criminal.

The daughter of the older couple is on th radio right now and says that her parents home was broken into last year, and her mother walked in on the burglars.

This old couple has True Grit!
