The only magazines I've had good luck with for my 10/22 are factory magazines and Tactical Innovations' 25rd magazines. You can find them on their website, www.tacticalinc.com
^^ actually butler creek does call them banana magazines, and some stores call them banana clips. Don't recall what it says on the package.
I'd stick with the hot lips unless you have feeding problems with them, or if for some odd reason you are using a 10/22 as a defensive weapon.
I have used 2 of the Ramline 50 round magazines for well over 10 years now with very few problems. Each must have had thousands of rounds put through them.
As for a loader, I have used the Butler Creek loader with pretty good results. Don't get discouraged if it takes a little while to get the rhythm down using it.
