bandolier idea? look at picture

Is this ok? I worry about no air flow under the elastic strap can this cause rust? this is a mag on my .22 with elastic strap strapped to the side of the gun.

It look like a good idea but I think it will cause rust?

what do you think?

doubt it will rust if removed when you get home, but it may scratch the finish.
