Went to LGS after 2 or 3 months this weekend. Barnes has been around Lancaster, Ohio since I was a kid. They're gone and the building is for sale. Any central Ohio THR members know the story? Sad day.

I don't think I'll miss it. I had a couple of friends who went there occasionally and their experience was things were a bit over priced and also had some comments on their unfriendliness.

I was there once and thought the selection was rather poor and never returned.

Well, thanks. I just was wondering why the sudden closing. Maybe another THR member will post with answers.

I loved that place. I bought a couple of guns from the old man over the years, but you had to argue prices some. Only the old man had the authority to come down on the price. When I say the old man I mean the owner, not one of the other 4 or 5 that worked there or the other 8 or 10 that were always in there jawing and drinking coffee. Jack managed the store for years and passed away last fall. Now Charlie is gone. I am not a native of OH, I lived in Lancaster 11 years and just recently moved back south of the river. That shop is one of the few things I will miss about Ohio.
