OK so every month I look forward to our 'big' local gun shop's new monthly flyer. It's a PDF on their website, I've been downloading them and storing them - renaming them the month and year for several years now. They are fun to look back through and see what firearms were 'NEW' and how much cheaper ammo was...

SOOO, that being said and how much I enjoy looking through these dern things, I thought if I shared my two local rags, maybe you guys could post some links to your local shops monthly rags? I travel a fair bit for work and would love to buy a long gun while out of state.

Disclaimer first - I have never worked in the firearms industry and I am not related to any owners or employees of these two stores.

Both of these shops are BIG. They are not Cabela's or Bass Pro BIG but they are big multi story shops with likely 40 odd people that go there for work everyday. They have way better prices than the local 'mom and pop' true LGS's. They are extremely high volume and have TONS of stock.

Also - I'm in Central Ohio, near Columbus.

First up is Buckeye Outdoors in Hebron Ohio. It is owned by the same group as Vances in Columbus Ohio about 30 miles from Buckeye. Here is a link to their flyer for this month -> http://www.vanceoutdoors.com/flyer/flyer.pdf

The other shop is up north - Goschinski's Fin, Feather, and Fur Outfitters in Ashland about 120 miles from me. It has a basement firing range and the most UNBELIEVEABLE reloading inventory you could ever imagine. Literally every RCBS die set including Gold Medal Match - every powder I've ever heard of and some I haven't - presses of course - Sierra's + Nosler + Hornady's almost entire bullet inventory - UNREAL - has to be seen to be believed! Their flyer is right on the homepage, just click it -> http://www.finfeatherfuroutfitters.com/

SOOO! Link up your LGS rags! :D

Saturday morning bump.

When I get back from the OSU Buckeye Football game at the shoe where we are about to whoop up on the Purdue 'Boiler Up - Toot Toot' Boilermakers - I EXPECT to see some gun flyers! : )

Ammo Sale Sub Forum ?

I have an idea. How about a sub-forum for just sales on ammo?. This would greatly benefit most of the members since nearly anyone can order ammo by mail unless they live in a real restricted area. Make it so anyone can post links to ammo sales by regular online retailers. A description to the link would include the best deal, case price, how long, and where the company is located. It could work like this

(subject line) THR 1000 can 7.62 x 39 for $99.95 Oct

(message) .....THR 1000 can 7.62 x 39 for $99.95 until October 31 2012. Buy two cans free shipping (212) - 555-1212 http://www.thehighroad.org

What do you think? mods ?

I will second John's endorsement for Green Top Sports.

They are 100 miles from me but I never go thru Richmond Va. without stopping and buying something.
They have a very large selection of new and used guns very competitively priced, their powder and primer selection is very good and although not Powder Valley prices, you don't add in the HazMat fees esp. if you just need a pound or two, say, to try out a new to you powder.

Not associated in any way shape or form with them nor the gun industry but it was gratifying to see them move up into MUCH larger store space when Gander's could not cut it-By the way, they will be 1 mile from BassPro Shops but I have no doubt their emphasis on knowledgeable and helpful sales reps will keep them successful.

They put out a glossy color flyer every so often and online site is very good, too.
