Barnes does not have load data for the 50 grain VG yet. Has any one in here tried any yet for a 22-250 and a 222?

Powders that I have on hand are;
H380
H322
H4831sc
IMR3031
IMR 4198
IMR 4064
Win 748
Unique

Thanks anyone!

33 grains of imr 3031 works great excellant accuracy, ive been using this load in my rem 700 bdl hv bbl rifle for the past 20 yrs or so , on woodchucks, coyotes , with great results with all 50 & 55 gr bullets expecially v max or any other brands so it should be good for the varmint granades also, another great powder for the 22/250 is imr 4064 & H 380

ROWDY pick up a copy of lymans reloading manual #48 its a great manual for reloading for all of your needs it is sold by midway usa or natchez shooting supply etc

Hodgden lists loads on the canister front, so use that data as something to target. H322 is one of the powders that I use in the 222 with Nosler 50 gr.
I use 33.3gr. IMR3031 with 52gr. Hornady A-Max in my 22-250.
You do not need to worry about specific brand loads as a rule if your loads are sane. You need to work up loads anyways for best accuracy. As you probably know, there is no magic load for all.

I purchased some of these also, but to shoot out of my AR. I could not find any data for this specific bullet anywhere on the web. So, I sent an email to Barnes, and a day later I got a nice data sheet in the inbox from them.

:)

I think that your H-380 would be an excellent choice. I have used up to 39.0 grains with Nosler 55gr. ballistic tips. For a 50gr. Nosler bt bullet, your starting point for a .22-250 would be 37.0 grains (per Nosler Manual). Hope this helps.
