Barrel of my Yugo 24/47 is marked Samco...?

Hey guys,

If you have seen my recent threads you will know that I received a Yugo 24/47 Mauser from Classic Arms. I realize these are from Samco.

While cleaning more cosmoline off tonight, I noticed that the barrel has a stamp/etching that says something like: "Samco MIA CZC 7.92mm"

Now, does this mean that Samco rebarreled the gun with a new barrel?

Or is it original??

It doesn't make sense to me why they would spend the time and money rebarreling one of these.

Distributors are required to mark their imports. It's probably original in all respects.
