I have a Savage FVSS 112 Varmint in 0.223 Rem. 26" fluted barrel
(it is in a long action).
What is the rate of twist in the barrel please.

You can easily determine the answer with a patched cleaning rod configured so that the rod rotates via the rifling as you push it thru the bore..

I'd want it to be 1:12 for most Varmint rds, 55gr and under.
