Had the above rifle for a few decades. Always reliable but has recently developed an irritating fault.
Empty cases are readily extracted from the chamber but not ejected clear of the action.
However if an empty case is put into the bolt and flicked the empty case is flung clear of the bolt.
Would welcome any suggestions as to cause of this problem.

Where can I find a detailed description of the strip down & cleaning procedure for the Savage FVSS 112 bolt.

Many Thanks

Check the ejector for free movement and make sure it is clean. It sounds like a sticky ejector.

In fact, I would recommend disassembly of the bolt head and a deep clean.

I've also noticed with savages in general that working the bolt slowly causes weak ejection and working the bolt too vigorously causes poor extraction.

If memory serves the 112 has a plunger type ejector like the 110. First I'd try cleaning the bolt like voodoo suggested. I think what you're likely to find however is that the ejector spring has weakened over time. You mentioned that you've had the rifle for a while. So, you're probably going to need to replace the ejector spring. No, biggie. You can easily do it yourself or have it done and the cost for parts and labor should be minor. If you do it yourself and haven't done this just make sure you use a proper punch, support the bolt on some thing that supports it with out damage and re seat the pin fully. Here are a couple vids...
