10- , I had to get the trigger tuned on the one I got in late 80's. You can't shoot long range with a heavy creepy trigger! It cost $400 to fix it- because it's a Barrett!

I have an 82A1 with the newest features and the gun is simply incredible. There really isn't much I can say bad about it, just make sure you use fairly powerful loads. I had some Yugo M33 and it was not good for the 82. The loads just weren't powerful enough to cycle the gun properly (not to mention it wasn't very clean), it jammed every few rounds. Trigger is good, not the smoothest around, but good enough.

For what it is, the gun is very accurate, not quite as accurate as a bolt 50 of course. I have a mag fed 50 on order with a well known smith, just to have the best of both worlds.

I would rate the gun a 9, since I don't like 10s. ;)

You can't go wrong with an 82A1, plus you have Ronnie Barrett behind the product who is one of the biggest asset's to the gun community.

Yeah, I believe you got to give a company a chance to improve. Ten years ago Dell computers sucked, now they run smoother than macs.
