Well, I wouldn't buy one SCAR if they were 1/3 the price they are, regardless of how much money I had, so that's a pretty easy decision.

Well before you edited the original post you claimed to have a total of 15 SCARs, IIRC, 12 16s's and 3 17s's.
That's beyond more than enough.

It's an overpriced and overhyped gun that fixes imaginary problems with the AR platform whilst creating very real ones.

I was pretty excited about them until I had a chance to actually play with one (a 17). I much prefer the AR-10, and would take a G3 pattern, FAL pattern or M1A over the SCAR every time for various reasons.

That and editing your op I am starting to think you are misleading people here. Would it be possible for you to post pic's of: Hk-91 German NIB , 2 FALs spartan NIB, 2 XCR pistol NIB or 12 16s's and 3 17s's?

I've eyed both those guns (if we are talking scar 17s) and came very close to buying the Barrett once. I decided I just wasn't going to shoot 50 Cal enough to warrant buy it. I also don't see any reason to buy 4 Scars. So I would probably buy one SCAR 17 S ( and perhaps a 16 so there was consistence between platforms). Unless you are into long range shooting, have a place to do it, and know you will shoot a lot I wouldn't buy the Barrett. I decided that I'd rather buy a Mac 10 and slow fire upper, and 22 upper plus mags and accessories than the Barrett.
