<<Did anyone else notice the Ruger MKIII hunter and the MKIII 22/45 are mis-labeled?>>
Yea! Was looking at that. Thinking of buying a 22. If you go by the price listed to the picture (not labeling). That MarkIII (not the 22/45) is listed for $399.88 DEAL……MSRP $567.
Where they have the MarkIII 22/45 listed for $459.88. MSRP is $487. NO DEAL.
I don’t know what’s going on their. Who knows…they be passing off the standard models (about $300 MSRP) for the models listed? They would not even know it.
Here’s another one looking at the S&W 500, they have it listed as an 8-3/4 inch barrel. Just guessing here. It must be another one of those “special purchase” items (dealer exclusive?). Cause they don’t make an 8-3/4? They do make an 8-3/8.
Yes, S&W “did” make a 686 5 inch. And I have seen them priced better. But the catalogue is a mess, it’s like…….I don’t know? Their guessing at this stuff. Maybe their trying to be “creative”. Drunks’ can do better. Probably a rush job? To get it out in time for the listed date of sale.
Name of the game here, you have to know your guns and pricing for them. I feel sorry for the ones that don’t. Something that Bas pro shops have to do, who ever is giving it to the printer like that, anyway.
Even if they let the printers handle the “press-ready” end of it. The printers get an “approval”, a signing off on it. That….. This is the way, it’s to be done. And that comes from corporate. Those corporate people have to stop telling fishing/hunting jokes all day long.
<< Cabelas has a better ammo selection and I know they have 3 or 4 different factory loads if you're still needing any local.>>
Thanks. Yes, I have noticed that. At the Ft.Worth location. They have HSM, Ultramax, Hornady, and Buffalo Bore. The HSM and Ultramax is the “new” ammo, not the refurb…I mean….the ah…re-manufactured. It’s not the re-manufactured ammo.
I do reloading. Not with a progressive press, though. I wind up buying a box or two for hunting.
<< I went looking for a Glock 27 and asked the sales person. He tried to tell me the 19 was the same thing except it had a larger magazine capacity. The last time I looked one was 9mm and the other is a 40.>>
And you see, that’s a popular handgun. Or so you see and hear it talked about.
I don’t have a glock. I shot a glock.
In retail, one should know it.
<< So thinking that he just did not know much about handguns I asked to see what he had in 204. As he handing me a savage 22mag I tell him again I wanted something in 204 and he comes back with "whats the difference they are both 22's.>>
You see, his fate is sealed, as for credibility. Whether or not, he knew about the differences.
It sounds like it’s more of an insult, though. For me. I had that done to me as well.
Me…..I’m assertive guy. I know what I want. Don’t give me something I don’t want. Otherwise, I’m going to walk away! And I have to. If I know a person like that, is insulting me. I’ll be saying things I don’t mean, otherwise, I’ll have a relapse of an old disorder I had. Going from a mild to a sever case of Tourettes’ disorder…I’ll be saying obscene words, in-appropriate and derogatory hand gestures and comments. So… I walk away! He loses out, not me. I’m not going to get aggravated!
