There is no quantity limit on NFA weapons that I'm aware of - I know several shooters whose collections number in the dozens of pieces. You just have to pay the transfer fee for each one - and those $200- tax stamps add up quickly, to say nothing of the cost of the items themselves. That's one reson I'm going the NFA trust route - I can put family members in addition to myself on it as trustees, without having to do a transfer.

Not sure what you're getting at. Are you now asking how to obtain the necessary licensing to become a Manufacturer?

If not, you don't need to worry about that, since it has no bearing on how many NFA items you can own as an individual.

Not at all. One guy was misinformed towards the beginning, but he was provided the correct info shortly thereafter.

I'm still wondering what this has to do with your original question, however. The fact that there are no more machineguns being produced for the civilian market in the US has nothing to do with how many NFA items a person can own.
