"...a few rounds" would rhyme better, but I think it would be less exact semantically. Thoughts?

BRAVO! BRAVO! That is great! Not 20 minutes ago I came home and my old lady ws about to leave. I went to getm home defense tools out and to put hers up and she left it in the bathroom where she was showering while I was gone. She says the reason she does so is I scared her to death a while back talking about different situations we could be in. It makes total sense though especially if home alone. I do it always regardless. Again I applaude you on being so cleaver in the simpest way.

change the last line to:
"Instead, let them catch a few rounds"

sounds better, IMO.

Yes, "rounds=bullets."

You know, Mr. Volk, many who speak English as a native language neither put as much thought into what we say as you nor care. I am glad that you do. It is important to the message.

Oleg;

She's very static, posed. I'd think her looking directly at the camera with fire in her eye & the right hand just a couple of inches off the grip would be a more effective scene. The pants would still be a sight barrier to her bust, nothing need be exposed. Just a thought.

I took a variety of images, this one was the best overall. Maybe I'll re-shoot in late July when she comes to TN again.

He is sat outside in the shadows.

He just saw you leave the house.

He thinks she is now alone.

SHE IS NOT.

First three lines above, last line below picture.

Bathroom gun

This bring to mind an interesting conversation I had with a female instructor at Front Sight a few months ago.

We were talking about how we carry all the time and a friend of mine mentioned that about the only time he was without his weapon was while he was in the shower.

The female instructor looked over ans casually noted, "Not me. When I take a shower I rest my Glock on top of the shower stall frame."

Needless to say, that made for an interesting mental image:what:

Thanks for using your talents to help promote the second amendment!

Looks like a Glock. It’s only fitting to have a porcelain gun in the bathroom. :neener:

(Yes I know Glocks aren’t porcelain. Just a Die Hard 2 reference)

Also, I have a friend that was considering using a plastic container in the toilet tank to hide a SHTF gun.

With your SHTF gun in your toilet tank, you at least save water with every flush... (think green, people!)

I think the subject appears very natural for the setting.

If one can not drift into condition white in the bathtub, and daydream etc, the overall home set-up needs some work.

Great pic, except that you can see there is no water in the bathtub. Some water and bubbles would have made it much more real, but probably would have made the shoot harder.

Very good.

I like it.
I wouldnt change THIS one, but i have been thinking of PMing you, sir, about another similar one:

Picture is of what are clearly a woman's painted toenails sticking out partially from a bubble bath, in clear focus.

View is as if from the woman herself, looking down at the COMPLETELY OBSCURING layer of bubbles in the tub.

In clear focus: To the periphery of the picture are the sides of the tub, upon which rests her handgun (in my idea: a stainless revolver- rust resistant for the bathroom, you know) and near it also resting partially on the rim of the tub is her hand/forearm in the beginning motions of reaching up for the handgun.

Out of focus/fuzzy but not blurry (i.e. make it obvious what it is):
View an across the room, over the tub/feet/gun and to the bathroom door -maybe with a robe hanging on it- is the head/half-torso/arm of a ski-masked male reaching in from behing the door looking meancing of course; who has not yet realized the armed homeowner he is about to encounter. he could be holding a weapon of some kind, but isn't necessarily in my idea.

A picture is indeed worth a thousand words- and my post is getting longer and longer. So i'll leave it at that.

What do you think?

You see, you're making the popular misconception that we bathe in water here in TN, we don't. We just sit in empty tubs naked and wait for BGs to come in.

I ask this as a completely serious question... do many of you actually have a weapon while in the bathroom?

I understand the need of being prepared, but am I off base for thinking this is slightly excessive?

It would seem to me that this picture speaks more to the need of finding a better area to live in as opposed to the importance of being armed if you feel the need to carry everywhere in your home.

Thoughts?

The tub was full of watter with bubbles...low viewpoint keeps you from seeing them. I took about 40 images, picked the overall best one. Keep sugegstions coming, I'll incorporate them into future designs.

Better neighborhood? It is already a nice one...and it is but five minute's drive from the nearest subsidized housing and ten from a fairly rough area. Criminals can drive, too.

Oleg=> Take this comment with a grain of salt if you wish but you should probably incorporate some alternate gun finish than blue for a handgun kept in shower room, even for brief times. Humidity present, even briefly, would quickly hasten the rust process on blue finish... perhaps a stainless of some sort!!!

Just a thought!

I like the poster, indeed I do. I like the "I deserve a quiet bath" caption, too, so if another poster were to come along with that, it would receive no complaint from me.

As an aside, Zen21Tao, I think it's actually a Taurus Millennium Pro of some flavor. I owned a couple until just recently, and the grip looks very familiar.
