Anybody have any experience working on these little pistols.

I have had one come into the shop in pretty poor shape.
Filthy dirty and in pieces.
The pistol seems basically the same as a Browning vest pocket .25

The stainless steel parts appear fairly soft, is it ok to stone surfaces or do they need a re-heat treat after the fact?

Magazine was all mashed up at the feed lips, this magazine is made out of carbon steel that has been nickle plated thank goodness.
I got the feed lips sorted out so that it will feed four rounds before jamming, the magazine spring had been pulled out at some time and stretched and is now very weak and somewhat twisted.
I found a source for a couple of original new magazines and have this issue licked, however,

Customer wants all springs replaced, I can do on the firing pin spring, don't need to replace the sear and magazine catch springs.
The recoil spring unit is captured and rivited.
If I cut the rivet, it looks like the guide rod assembly is trashed, does anybody have any spare new recoil spring assemblies, and please skip Gun Parts.
The guy ordered some grips and a spare magazine from there.
The spare magazine is 5mm too short and the grips, when installed, caused the gun to, more or less, fall apart when he fired the first shot.
I got the pistol, in a box, with most of the component pieces loose in a zip-lock baggie.

The gun did come with the original pearlite grips in the box along with the replacement walnut grips.
It functions fine without falling apart with the pearlite grips in place, however, there is a fairly substantial crack on the left grip and I fear it may eventually fail.
Any helpful suggestions out there?

I believe they are a S/S direct copy of the Baby Browning, not the 1906 Vest Pocket.

You might try that.

It is, and I did.
Put the pistol together and got it working, need the other questions answered.
