I've not been able to keep up with it but tonight I caught an episode that referred to a Lemat. When did you ever hear of a Lemat talked about on a made for tv movie?
Once again, the weapons are not the main part of the storyline but the subtle submissions impress me.
The main character asks his trusted side kick what was the new gun he had and the side kick replies that it was a Lemat and he won it in a poker game and that it came from New Orleans.

I haven't heard of a movie that discussed the Le Mat but an old TV western hero named Johnny Ringo did:

Wikipedia Article said:
Johnny Ringo appeared at a time in the history of the television Western series when creators strove to make characters interesting by equipping them with "gimmick guns", the two most famous being Josh Randall's "mare's laig" from Wanted: Dead or Alive, and Lucas McCain's trick rifle from The Rifleman.

Such a gimmick gun was introduced in the second pilot. Johnny Ringo's gimmick gun was a custom built revolver called the LeMat, based on its historically authentic counterpart; the Le Mat featured an auxiliary shotgun barrel under its primary barrel. Many episodes found Ringo getting into scrapes where that final round in the shotgun barrel was the deciding factor. Aesthetically Johnny Ringo's LeMat most resembles the historical percussion model LeMat, but features a top break cartridge fed design.

They had LeMat used in the movie "The Quick and the Dead" by a character named Gutzon who was I think supposed to be the Swedish shooting champion. They even had a scene with him loading it which was .36 caliber.
