Hello, Neil:

This has the ring of truth. The device on the ends of the guns was more
likely a military flash suppressor than a silencer IMHO.

Forwarded email?

I have yet to meet one that stands up to intense scrutiny. ;-)
Which source are you talking about and why do you trust it? The author? A person forwarding it?

Reading it, it didn't strike me as authentic. There weren't any tells that suggest that the author believes what he's writing.

That's my take on it.

Sorry, folks. This sounds just way, way too phoney. I really don't think this is anything more than a time-waster and a waste of bandwidth.

If somebody has any sort of first-hand--as in a close personal friend or a relative that's not given to a booze-augmented imagination--start anew.
