I want something shorter than the standard 15" handguard BCA puts on nearly all of their AR's. What brands are compatible with BCA? Doesn't need to be anything special other than M-Lok and not so dang pricey like a new BCA guard ($100+). I'm looking for a simple switch over as in remove 8 screws screws, take off the original, put on new and tighten screws. If I have to fool with barrel nuts and such I'll just get any old thing and slap it on. Thanks guys!

Yes, Bear Creek. Thanks.
I called BCA to ask if the rimfire handguard was the same as the centerfire and she said "I don't know"....LOL! Well ok then....sheesh
The handguard on my 22WMR has a ridge that runs on the underside of the picatinny rail (12 o'clock inside the handguard) and I'm not sure if it will block the gas tube or not if put on a centerfire. I don't have one to test myself.

I just went ahead and changed barrel nut and all on the 22WMR but still don't know if my old handguard will work on other centerfires.

I haven't been able to get on their site to see what handguards look like.

It would depend on the bolt pattern on your current handguard. BCA used to sell replacement sets of their handguards in various lengths. Not sure if they still do. Does your handguard have 6 or 8 screws or something else? I bought a bunch of their handguards a few years ago when they had them on clearance because they were switching patterns. If you could post a pic of what you have and what length you were looking for, I can see if I have an extra one sitting around that might suit you.

I think that would be the newest version of their handguards and they seem to be limited on the length of that particular handguard. I have a lot of the version with 6 screws and if the OP is handy with a barrel nut wrench I have a complete set I can send them in a shorter length. Of course, if they are doing that then there is a wide range of options from many mfgs available to them.

I got the answer from my sons AR. It has the same ridge and does NOT interfere with the gas tube. I suspected it was normal on all of their handguards but wanted to be sure before selling.
