There is no way that I would shoot an animal that was acting naturally. She put herself in that situation and can get herself out.....or not. I would let her get eaten if she is that dumb.
If it was my wife, I'd throw the bear a breath mint when he was done.
Really? People think big animals are invincible or something. Neither bears, nor lions, nor tigers are immune to bullets.
Yes, if I was actually hunting for bears, I would take something else, but in defense of a person who is being attacked, a service caliber handgun will still work.
Even a .22 through the ear will kill a polar bear...
I was thinking about what if I'd been there. Would I have drawn my 1911 and shot it point blank?
1. Yeah that was stupid. Does that rise to the level of , "She deserves to DIE stupid?" NO. I'm sure she is MUCH smarter now.
I personally don't think there is such a thing as "so stupid she deserves to die."
That is not how the current zeitgeist of selfishness is manifesting itself. There has been a decided push toward moving away from helping the poor and unfortunate, and this will demonstrate itself in the sentiment of "let the bear eat her".Most folks are dumb it's a sad fact of life, most folks are cowards, most folks are not productive members of society. The few good ones have to protect/guide the "others" when issues happen. A snide poke such as let the bear eat her is fun for all but it's the wrong awnser to a question that was not asked. I have to agree with an earlier post that this boils down to the point of would you use your gun to defend the public in public.
