I've noticed that some models of these brand names are obviously all made in Taiwan in the same factory. I have a Crosman SNR357 2.5" which is identical in every way with the Dan Wesson except for the chrome finish on the DW and the extra $40-50 extra bucks and the DW name on barrel. I've looked at the Crosman SR bb model online and found my SNR and the SR are identical except for the barrel. I went to Walmart looking for the SR(which was OOS) and saw a Bear River 357 bb model obviously made in the same factory as the DW's, Crosman SNR, and SR 357. The hammers, warning labels, swing out cylinders, ejectors and cylinder releases are identical. Is there any reason to think that the inner working parts of these guns would different? I ask because sometimes there's a big difference in price for what looks to be the same gun. three examples of what I'm talking about...

Good morning!
I have pondered over this same question. I believe that the different companies offerings may use the same parts in major assemblies from the manufacturer but that things may be added per manufacturer to bring the guns up to a specific companies requirements. ( If that makes sense? ) Particularly in fit and finish and time spent in assembly. Weak sauce I know but it's all I have come up with. Most of the Chinese manufacturers seem to be in bed with each other in some form or fashion. My best advice is to pick the gun you like that performs best for you. Could be less expensive or may not be.
regards!

I bought a SwissArms CO2 BB pistol from The Sports Authority when I was going out of business. I can't remember its model, but its likeness is based on the Beretta 84.

Not long after that, it turned up at Wal-Mart, as a Crosman product. It's actually a neat shooter, but the trigger will have you longing for a Polish P64 for relief!
