hey, anyones have/use a becker necker knive? are they nice? i really want some knives with a sheath to go around my neck, does anyone know anyothers?

thanks

Hi,
I love neck knives :)
I have one of the becker necker, for the money it's a good neck knife. It works with my small hand..maybe you could play it in a knife store or a knife show and see if it works and handles right with your hand. When I go to the woods I bring it along with my becker 7. The kydex sheath is holding up so far on mine. I haven't sharpen it yet so don't know how easy but it looks like it's easy.
Ok, Good luck on the search...BTW, check out the Hideaway knife too..they have the utility model which is affordable, sturdy and very fast to deploy.
Take care

i don't own the Necker, but i own two other Beckers, the Brute and the Campanion (which i ended up giving to my dad), and they were both built like tanks. really well built.

my favorite neck knife is a Camillus Cuda. stainless steel (and it gets wet a lot when fishing) and a bit more length to the handle for my big mitts. i wrapped the grip in para cord (outer braid only) for a bit more texture when i'm in the water.

Rumor is that the Becker Necker will be back in stock by Sept/Oct but no guarantees. We got cleaned out in July. We have a couple of the Cuda Arc Lites in stock and we are keeping our fingers crossed on the next shipment of Becker Neckers. It's a great knife and the company makes some good products. I hope they get things straightened out soon.

I have one. I got it for free because of a mistake on an order and it is pretty cool. I don't really carry it much because I don't have a need for it but it is a stout little knife. It does light duty in my silverware drawer as a utility cooking knife.

I love mine. I don't carry it around my neck though. I bought a Tek-Loc clip, not the locking kind and attached to my sheath. I really like this knife - solid and very handy. I have cord wrapped my handle several ways, but am thinking about making wooden scales. I plan to carry it hunting and getting blood, hair and fat out of the 550 would be a pain. If I make the scales, I may make a leather sheath for it.

Some say to ditch the 550 cord for neck wear and replace with a beaded chain. The chain will break if someone gets a hold of it.

I have lots of knifes, and this is one of my favorites. I paid $29.99 at Knifeworks, very nice people. They are out of stock. I fear Camilus is having a hard time due to a strike by the Steel Workers Union:cuss: .
