I have put the R-7 (Weihrauch) .177 air rifle to heavy use recently due to the squirrels eating my truck engine wiring.
($1,000 in repair bills since February this year!)
The gun kept shooting the screws loose and losing zero, and lock-Tight wasn't helping.
I think I finally found the problem tonight.
The front action screw with the big bite lock-washer kept getting loose, and I couldn't figure out how.
So I had the stock off again tonight, and when I laid it down, the steel bolt ferrel in the stock fell out!!!
Over time, the stock must have changed or shrunk enough the knurling let go and allowed the bolt & lock washer to back out because the lock-washer was turning the stock ferrel out with it under vibration.
I glass-bedded the ferrel in the stock, and torqued the three screws with blue LT on them.
I have a feeling my problem will be over when the chemicals kick over and harden tonight!!
