Beginning collector on a budget - 308 Chilean Mauser & Mosin Nagat

You have to get C+R license. Mosins are the best deals; cheap, cheap ammo, fun to shoot, no parts problems. If you want a mauser style rifle you are much better off getting a yugo 24/47 or 48, fine guns that use standard 8mm ammo, than old, converted .308s. Or some of the other Mausers, turkish,ect, german. No doubt many of those chilean conversions were done well but who knows? And 319, unless it is truly beautiful, seems a bit high.
