Which is better for use and dependable all day everyday the BENCHMADE 940 vs Gerber 06 Auto Knife
The 940 is much slimmer and lighter. It will carry much more comfortably over the long haul.
What about usability and durability
Still the 940. OTFs are really cool toys. The 940 is more reliable, and the axis lock is both very strong and incredibly smooth. If you like the 940, take a look the Knifeworks exclusive that's only a little more money than the base models and it has even better 20CV blade steel - https://www.knifeworks.com/benchmad...black-and-blue-g-10-knifeworks-exclusive.html.What about the 940 vs their otf knives

The bigger question though, is what, specifically, are you wanting in / from this new knife you're going to buy? In these two threads you've been all over the place in weight, size, and operating mechanism. If you're just wanting a cool knife but don't really know what you want, I get that, and I've been there myself. Talking with guys like hso and JShirley helped me to narrow down purchases by talking about knives that I owned, what I liked about them, what I didn't like, and what things I wanted that were different from them. Sometimes I've wanted a combination of things from different knives mixed into one. I hope that makes sense, and I hope it helps you to find a knife you'll be happy with.
