Benelli M1 Tactical or a Remington 1100 Tactical? Which one would you choose?

sm has his reasons. I don't know "why".

If you're interested, PM him about it.

That's information, not an argument. If you want conflict, seek it elsewhere. I'm not interested.

Cant PM him. I tried. His profile doesent allow it.

I would like to know what broke so I can keep my eye out for it so I dont end up with a dead gun in a match. Thats all.

This forum is about sharing information.

Back to the original posters question, Benelli M1 Tactical. The 1100 is a good shotgun, but has too many parts to break. I had two. One to shoot and practice with while the other was at the gunsmith getting fixed. Really.

IMO both are good shotguns but the Benelli is a cut above. Their ComforTech stock reduces felt recoil by half and their ComforTech system reduces muzzle rise so you can get back on target quickly. Their setup also keeps the gas system clean so you have less a chance of the shotgun failing. All and all they just do it right and IMO their shotguns are worth every penny they charge. Military and Police all over the world use the Benelli shotgun including the US Marines. I think the US Army is still using the Remington 870 but I'm not sure.

Some more of sm's verbosity:

Now the H&R Topper Youth 20 gauge I used last year, is like one I have, so I know it has a fixed modified choke. 15 bird limit and it took 13 shells to limit out.

I wore jeans, white tennis shoes, and blue oxford shirt last time out.
Standing the middle of the "T" of a farm road.
Just easier to shoot the durn things and have them fall at your feet or in the road , easier to find and it keeps my tennis shoes from getting dirty.

I look at this claim in a new light, now.

Back to the matter at hand, I vote Benelli M1 Tactical. How long has the ol' 1100 been around anyway?
