Benelli-made 7 round magazine tube for the M4

Hello,

Is it possible to purchase a factory benelli made 7 round magazine tube for the M4 shotgun? As I understand it, if the Benelli 7 round tube was added, you can still render the weapon remain 922r compliant by changing 3 other parts to US made examples such as the hammer, disconnecter, and trigger.

If not, what is the best option for getting a 7 round capacity M4? Carriercomp seems to be the most highly regarded.

I've always used Nordic extensions. Not sure if they make the +7 though.

You can find factory tubes on Gunbroker and eBay. Most, however, buy high-quality steel or titanium tubes from either Freedom Fighter Tactical (Todd is who I buy most of my M4 accessories from) or Carriercomp, another excellent outfit by all accounts. I have a Nordic Components magazine extension tube on my Remington 870 Tactical. It is first-rate and very heavy-duty. However, Nordic Components doesn't yet list mag extensions for the M4.

Thanks xtrooper. I will keep an eye out for the factory tubes. Do you know if Benelli still imports them or is what you find on gunbroker usually old stock from years ago?

Edit: From looking at gunbroker it looks like they only sell the 7 round tubes to LEO/Mil so I guess they still import them, but civilians are limited to overruns/overstocks that find their way into the civilian market.

Benelli only sells them to LEO/Military. Most of the dealers on Gunbroker will sell them to you or anyone else. I'm looking at one ad right now by biggun74, but, frankly, I find it a bit crazy to pay $300+ for a factory tube when you can buy aftermarket ones of equal or greater quality for under $200.

As suggested, a better alternative is the Carrier Comp titanium tube. Cerakoted, it looks very pretty and it's light!

Just remember to make your gun 922r compliant after increasing the round capacity.

With a US made magazine tube, you will need 2 more US made parts. I would suggest the magazine follower, which comes for free with the Carrier Comp tube, and handguards from freedomfightertactical.com also linked above.
