Benelli MR 1

Hello peeps! I went to one of the funshop today just to browse and then I saw this Benelli MR 1, I just read it in one of the Magazine i subscribe and i was kinda intrigue by it and after careful inspection and what not I decided to just go for it!!I had to trade my other rifle and my beloved SP101 in 357 but that is the only way i can make the deal so now i have to carry my XDm 3.8 oh well maybe one of this day i'll pick-up another SP101...Anyway the rifle is really nice it takes regular AR15 mags, I can still use the iron sights with my scope on it, and just as a bonus the serial is BC0005XXX!!yah baby!!anyway here it is haven't tried it yet maybe tomorrow..

I am one of the few people who seems to like the look and feel of these rifles, however I have alot of things that are higher up on my list. I have a feeling these guns will be discontinued very soon. It does however look like a great gun for people in ban states.

vikz, I handled one of those at the SHOT show and it has the same gas piston as the Benelli M4 semi-auto shotgun with a slightly shorter piston (I think that's what the rep said). Personally I wouldn't buy one but I definitely want the M4. Congrats on yours though and it does look A LOT better with the AR15 mag. I look forward to a full range report.

Very nice, I'm about to pull the trigger on one. I have an M4 and an R1 so I figure this will complete my collection. Im in a ban state so this is a nice option for my pre-ban magazines.Let me know how you like shooting your new toy.
I have done a lot of reading and research and everyone seems to have their love it or hate it comments, but I have yet to hear from someone who has fired the thing. Enjoy!, please let us know how you like it?????

range report..

hello peeps! I had the chance to try my MR1 today and man this thing is amazing!!I tried to do some 5shot grouping and this is the best group i got at 100yds using 55gr remington factory load.
Its kinda hard to explain but i can barely feel the recoil its absolutely amazing..it was kinda funny when i took this video everybody got quite and just kinda waited until i was done with my mag...I did have a couple of FTE's that i think is magazine or ammo related..Anyway here is the video and it was a blast yah the barrel got really hot after i took this video..

Do you get any cheek weld at all with the scope that high? It looks like there's 3 inches from the sight axis to the barrel axis.....

That barrel looked really hot, My options are very limited in NY and I'm down to the MR-1 or an Sig 556 SCM any thought?? Are you a little worried about future FTE's?

I broke one down, and it appears to be a well machined rifle. The breakdown and reassemble is awfully clumsy, and the rifle feels bulky/heavy to me. Having said that, I hope you enjoy it for a long time to come.

How well does the low comb shotgun stock work with a scope? Any plans on changing that?(are there any aftermarket options?)

Had to go with the Sig 556 SCM, just announced a $300 rebate and i know it will shoot the military surplus ammo that I have. Wanted the MR1 but not willing to take FTE chances.
