Benelli R1 Price Drop?

Having just sold my Benelli R1 300 Win Mag I was seriously considering buying another in 270 or 308. While speaking to the seller of a NIB 308 I found the NEW! MSRP for a AA Satin Walnut to have dropped from $1499 to $999 and they only offer them in 30.06

What's weird is they claim having interchangeable barrels as a feature but you can only buy 308 and 30-06 caliber barrels which takes different mags, springs, etc ???

Not sure if I will buy another one now.

There's LOTS & LOTS of other rifles out there that I'd rather have than one of those.

It's a good thing we all like different things, but I would honestly bet they still wouldn't be a popular rifle at 1/2 the price they ask for them.
