Tried reloads, strong and weak, factory 3 dram 1 1/8 oz and they all do it. I have torn it down and reassembled and I see nothing wrong. Load 1 in chamber, a second in tube. Fire 1st round, bolt MAY go all the way back. If it does not the second shell is still on the carrier. If it does manage to load then the bolt may not close all the way on the second round. I am having a hard time locating the correct recoil spring. Brownells sent me the wrong one. The only others I can find are Wolff 25% weak or 25% stronger. I thought that it may be the recoil spring as I can see no other issues after inspecting every single part inside the gun and cleaned everything. I have a 25% weaker recoil spring on hand but I NEED the gun on Sunday for a match and have no time time get the correct spring from Brownells or other place. I am open to suggestions. Will the 25% weak spring work ??? And at least solve the problem for now ?

How well lubed up is the track for the bolt etc?

Its either a Lube issue or a break in issue unless its got some strange spring on it

My benelli didnt like light loads, but since its all of those malfunctioning thatd be my guess

It is only lightly oiled since Benelli manual does not say where to lube it specifically. Gun is well broken in. About 5,000 rounds over the last 7 or 8 years. A proper replacement recoil spring or XP Wolff spring may also be in order. Trying to figure out exactly what it needs.

A 25% week spring will work with light and standard 2 3/4 loads. If the bolt is not going all the way back with your old recoil spring it may indicates that the inertia spring is fatigued also.

My major issue now is trying to find the correct spring for the gun. Ser # u187xxx came with a 63 coil recoil spring. the currently available spring is 33 coils.
