Firstly, this is new for me, both posting and Air Guns. I have obtained a Benjamin 3030 Repeater for varmints. I have been unable to obbtain a schematic of it! I used the right air cartridge,ie, 8 grams. After one shot the CO2 cartridge fully discharges. Bolt, holder, and cartridge becomes cold from discharging of the gas and it will not shoot another round (BB). Any ideas?

That gun was first made in 1962, and discontinued in 1976.

So all the seals are at least 35 years old, if not more.
I doubt Benjaman will repair it.

Maybe it's time to move on to a newer model that works right.

It is true the is an older gun and I am not looking for factory repair. If anyone has a schematic, I cwetainly could use one, Thr rifle, in it's right mind will suit my purposre. I may have even too much oil in the cylinder right now, but it's coming out fine, any help would be appreciated.

I think the Benjamin Mod. 30-30 [called the hot shot} has a C02 cartridge container, part no.30324 that goes inside the tube.
Do you have it?

I have purchased new 8 gram CO2 cylinders for use in this gun. I believe this is the cylinder to which you refer. This is the one bleeding out after one shot!

No, I think it was a separate part the 8 g CO2 cylinder fits inside of, then the whole thing goes in the gun to make the seal.
I could be wrong though.

Are you sure that it uses a 8 gram cartridge and not a 12 gram?

Bought a rebuild kit from guys in Anderson, SC that publish the "Airgun Hobbyist". An "O" ring and valve. Probably could get by with just a new "O" ring. Anyway, works great now!
