All,

I have a Benjamin Franklin (pump up) and was having a problem with it not cocking. I took it apart today and the trigger assembly had worked itself loose from the cylinder it mounts to. Tightening the screw fixed that problem.

However, now the gun will not shoot hard. It seems that all of the air is not being discharged when the trigger is pulled. You can recock the trigger two more times, and the subsequent trigger pulls will produce a discharge of air. Additionally, a pellet will not penetrate a piece of particle board from about 9 yards.

Thanks for the help.

I don't expect the pellet to go thru the board, but to at least penetrate it somewhat. Which they have in the past. Yesterday, it just bounced off.

Just trying to figure out if it is coincidence that the gun quit cocking and won't release all the air. Are the problems related?

Thanks

You may need to replace the seals. They may just need lubrication. If they are dry, they will not hold air.
