I just got back from the range where I shot a buddies mid 1980's vintage Beretta 84B. All I can say is WOW, what a nice "little" pistol. It was accurate, had a wonderful trigger and the fit and finish were impeccable. Plus it was a reasonable size for my big hands.
Today, I can go to the gun store and pick up 9mm pistols that are smaller and lighter (i.e. Ruger LC9 or Kahr PM9) than the Beretta 84 or .40's (i.e. Beretta PX4 and SIG P250 subcompacts) that are the same size. When you look at the numbers (size, weight and .380 ballistics) wanting one of these pistols for a CCW doesn't make a lot of sense...but man that pistol felt good in my hand
Any thoughts about a Beretta 84 as a CCW?
