Type M
I got one a few weeks back from Brad Taylor over at the Berettaforum and
http://www.berettacollection.com/. He moves alot of Berettas and other stuff over at the forum.
The Type M is a single stack, short slide version like the Centurion (I beleive). The Cent is supposed to be BUSA CCW like a Colt Commander.
Personally, I love the looks of the 92 series, had a Border Marshall a few years back, but just could not love it because the grip is so bulky. The M series are very slim and every time I pick the gun up I want to sing "Secret Agent Man".
Mine was an LEO trade in, hard plastic grip panels, blue, nights and three mags. Got it for a great price ... much below what I think it is worth.
It shoots perfectly to poa. The trigger is fantastic in sa or da and recoil is negligible. This gun kept me from buying a Glock19. I like it cause I can really shoot it well, pinpoint accuracy and fast. It carries well also, barely noticeable.
If it is a new gun in the low to mid $400s, then jump on it. Mags may be hard to find, but just look around. I did get lucky and found a left handed 92 holster that worked just fine with it at the ffl dealer where I picked mine up. Gave the me the holster for $10.
Love mine. This gun and an HK USPC45 have actually cured my "gun wanders lust" for the loast couple of months. I have just not found anything else that has caught my eye.
There is a really nice one on sale right now in THR forum and Beretta forum with 5 mags for $450. Hop on it if it is in your price range.
