My local store finally got some of those Beretta blems in stock and are sell them for 430.00 . I wanted to know if anyone has gotten one of these blems and liked it or wished they had not got it . Are they in good condition and can the blem be found easily. I was going to purchase a Glock 17 this weekend but if this Beretta is a good deal I will get one instead. My buddy has a 92fs and I have shot it a few times and like it also. Thanks for any info.

Bereta 92fs for $430? I'd buy it in a heartbeat, regardless of the blem. Fabulous gun. My son and I have put about 3,000 rounds through ours and the thrill of the first round is still there in each shot. No misfires. No jams. Its a great gun imho.

I didn't know that Beretta let blems out of the factory. When I was at the factory in 2004 their quality control would not allow blems out. Are you sure it is not a reconditioned police trade-in? Either way that was a great price. You couldn't go wrong with it at that price. You definetely got a good deal. Enjoy.

I love my Berettas - from 92's to shotgun. But my issue would be...what consitutes the 'blem'? Will it be something that will influence longevity, durability, reliability? or is it just a finish issue???

Retail on the 92FS has come down to around the $550 range and they're pushing the Blems out of the factory to make way for the new "90-Two".
I have 23,350 rounds through my 92FS - It's a pile of crap, 5 jams on ReLoads over the last 2-1/2 years... that's just horrible. I've replaced the recoil spring 1 time, thinking about doing it again? Never a single problem with that gun, can't speak highly enough about it. It shoots Dirty, Clean, Dry, Lubed. It's the gun I always keep loaded, and it's wearing Crimson Trace Grips. Haven't been shooting it much lattely, but my 1911's will soon become safe queens as yearly qualification with the M9 is comeing up after Oct 1, probly shoot 3k rounds through her in Oct.

The "blems" have been looked at by many people. Nobody can seem to find them. It's claimed that they are really small blems behind the grips. All that's really going on is, Beretta is clearing older models for the new 90-Two. I suggest getting one of these 92fs blems, well worth the money. There's nothing wrong with the gun. I'd get one if I could find one locally. I don't like buying stuff off the Web, had one run in with my CC# being taken and going through months of hassle to get it straightened out.
I haven't seen one myself, but the general concensus is that the blemishes are typically on the frame in the area of the grip panels -- and very often behind them. I believe Beretta identifies these as "Y-code" pistols. They are not trade-ins or reconditioned -- they are NIB.
The price on 92's (and M9's) is dropping to make room for the 90-Two, but it will be a while until you see them in the same range as these blemish guns. If I didn't already have an M9, I'd pick one up in a heartbeat!

They've been out for a few months. Bud's Gun Shop is listing them for around $600 with two 15-rd magazines. They use the same mags as the 92. I fired one and I was pretty impressed with the effectiveness of the new recoil system...smooth shooter.

Hmm, I have 3 shops around my area, and non of them have had one yet...How accurate are they? They sure are sweet looking.
