Did the beretta model 92fs come with a vertec frame? I recently purchased the pistol from Cabelas and its a 92fs, but I can't find any info about the straight back strapping...

It seems like you are saying you bought a 92FS Vertec but you don't know if they ever made a 92FS Vertec. Is that really your question?

Yes. They made 92FS Vertecs. For one thing, you just bought one. :D

I was also able to find a number of them for sale:

And the final authority on the topic. Beretta USA lists information about them on its website.

Was it a 92FS SE or something? I saw one at Bass Pro labeled as such. It didnt look anything like the plain 92FS sitting next to it

Thanks all im checking into it more!!! The thing is the back strapping on the handle its not like the other 92fs models im wondering if its marked wrong possibly.

Is it new or used?

If used, Berettas are like Legos... It could be a parts gun.

Is the front sight integral to the slide, or is it dovetailed?

I believe I saw a very similar beretta in BassPro a few weeks ago. Pretty sure it was marked 92FS on the slide but had a very different frame than my personal 92FS.

I think the one I saw was a vertec frame.
