Hello everyone. First post.

What I really want is a Beretta 92FS Vertec. But, these are getting real hard to find in Canada. I like the Vertec because it fits my smallish hand like a glove. And, to be really truthful, Berettas just make me drool.

However, if I can't find an old fashioned 92FS, can anyone tell me which model of the new 90two is made for small hands? I have heard that the 90two F is the one I should look for but I am seeking confirmation here.

Finally, not to hijack my own thread, but is Beretta still in the retail handgun business? I am half serious about this (but only half). Production of the 90two has hardly been seen on this side of the border and the old 92FS has all but disappeared.

Thanks in advance.

All Beretta 90-two's are based on the Vertec frame, IIRC. I think they also have interchangable backstraps.
None of the models is specifically for small hands - the FS has a decocker/safety, while a D is a DAO. That is Beretta's handgun suffix system.

The 90-two has the interchangeable backstraps and should fit your hand pretty well if you like the Vertec.

You might want to check out the classified posts on the Beretta Forum. http://www.berettaforum.net/

You can post a WTB notice and probably get what you are looking for there.

You might also want to consider the Beretta Cougar 8000 in 9mm. Although that model was discontinued, you can still find some around. Stoeger is now owned by Beretta and is making these pistols again. You can probably get a new one at a good price.

The Cougar fits smaller hands very well. I have one and really love it.

Good luck.

FRom what I have heard Beretta has dicontinued the Vertec series 92/96 and I believe they are discontinuing the 92/96 series all together and replace it with the 90two series of pistals
