Beretta BL-3?

Can anyone tell me about the OU Beretta BL-3?

I've seen a couple pics on the Net and in a Gun Trader's Guide, and the shotgun looks OK. I'd like to hear from someone who's shot one?

I ran across one of these shotguns in 28 gauge at a good price on the Net.
While I was trying to find out something about them by posting here and looking at auction sites, someone else just bought it.

Researching too long and pulling the wallet too slowly seems to be a theme with me lately.

They are typical Beretta quality, and VERY nice shotguns. They are quite a bit lighter than the typical O/U on the rack today in 12 ga, and make fantastic field guns. The 12 ga guns are a little lighter than what I like for a clay gun, but overall they are very good shotguns. The small ga guns are more in line with average weights. I could be mistaken but I remember the 28 being built on the 20 guage reciever.

I have one in 12 ga, finish is a little rough but it moves well and carries well.
