Does the Beretta 9mm CENTURION use the exact same MAGAZINES as the standard Bererrta 92?

Also, I'm interested in buying about 200 rounds of Speer GoldDot 9mm ammo and 3 extra magazines for my Centurion.

Any reputable (i.e. good service AND good prices) Internet dealers which carry Speer GoldDot 9mm ammo and new factory Beretta Centurion magazines?

:scrutiny:  :scrutiny:

Thanks.

If you want 17 round magazines, they are now also available from Beretta. The Sportsman's Guide has them for sale.

MecGars are probably cheaper.

Ok,one more time for the new folks.
MecGar Does Not & Never Has,made factory magazines for Beretta's.
A company,MDS Meccanica Del Sarca,is a company owned by Beretta, that makes it's magazines. They have now after many years introduced their own MDS marked mags.Same quality, different stamps, lower price.
MecGar makes great mags. The best "aftermarket" beretta mag on the planet.
Factory
MDS(actually factory)
MecGar
The rest are junk.
:D

From the Mec-Gar website:

MEC-GAR has the distinct honor of being the original equipment supplier for most of the world's leading firearms manufacturers. It has additionally been awarded numerous Law Enforcement, Military and Government contracts throughout its history. Our greatest success was to be qualified as the official supplier of Beretta M9/92F 15 round magazines for the U.S. Army and of the SIG P220-A 17 round magazine for the Federal Agencies.

So are you saying that Beretta has never sold or supplied Mec-Gar magazines with or for their pistols?

Devonai,

The fact that MecGar sold magazines to the Army for use in their M9s does not imply that MecGar has ever supplied magazines to Beretta.

If you read the quote from the website carefully they don't actually say that they have ever been OEM for Beretta--only that they have been an official supplier of magazines to the U.S. Army.

Checkmate magazines at one time enjoyed the same status.

Thanks for the info.

Does the 17 round magazine fit flush with the butt of the gun, or does it "stick out" longer than the standard 15 round magazine?

:what:  :what:

The Beretta 17 round magazines were actually designed for the 90-Two, but since magazines for the 92FS/M9 and the 90-Two pistols are interchangeable, they can also be used in the 92FS/M9 pistols.

The extra capacity difference comes from a new spring design, the mags are flush fit like the Beretta 15 round 92FS/M9 mags.
