Recently I purchased the Px4 Storm in .40 caliber. Full size model. I've never shot one,but it fit my hand like a glove. I like the ergonomics of the gun and the fact that its made by Beretta. Does anyone have any feedback on this gun? Good or bad. I'm just looking for any info or reviews. Thanks!

Have a 9mm full size myself. Very happy with it at 1000 rounds. But I'm a newb and it is my first centerfire handgun too. No real comparison basis other than a handful of range rentals.

I have the F variant (decocker + safety) in 9mm that is my primary HD gun. I've had it for 3+ years and after 1000s of rounds at the range, have had nothing but consistent, trouble-free performance.
The rotating barrel design makes it a soft shooter so range time isn't a pain. It's way more accurate than I am. That said, with 17+1 capacity in 9mm I'm totally comfortable with it and have been happy with it from Day One.

I have the same model, and I like it just fine. It's not really a stand-out pistol but I have no complaints. I do like metal mags with my polymer pistols so that's a big plus.
I also like the 17-round factory mags. 18 rounds of .40 is a lot to bring to the table. They do make the pistol seem notably heavier than the 14-rounders, so I carry one as my spare.

I own the same gun in the same caliber. I'm very happy with it. I don't think it separates itself from any of the other polymer guns out there, other than in my opinion it's sexier than a glock which looks like it was cut out of wood by a 5 year old. I've never had a jam out of it, it's easy to strip down and clean, and it's comfortable to carry all without breaking the bank. i'll take it.
Had one in 40 and sold it. I immediately regretted it and bought another in 40. Won't be selling this one. Along with the Steyr M40A1 it is the smoothest shooting 40 that I have experienced. Accuracy has been excellent. Reliability 100%. The ergonomics are very good for me. 14 rounds of 40 is nothing to sneeze at.

These comments remind me that my PX4 shares a nice commonality with my 92FS: the smoothness of racking the slide. Maybe it is as simple as a lighter recoil spring compared to other pistols, I don't know, but I've always found chambering a round to be easier with Berettas than others. Definitely easier than a Glock, anyway.

The PX4 9mm is my HD gun as well. My pistol has been nothing but reliable as well as accurate through ~1500 rds.
Sometimes I will even carry it though it is a little large for everyday carry. When I carry my Storm I prefer to have the safety off since it is DA on the first pull. I do appreciate having a safety for the times when I am introducing a new shooter to the world of pistols.
I bought a PX4 a love it. I did go through a time when other people's opinions made me regret my purchase. That is until I went out and shot my Storm again. Then I realized that the PX4 is in fact a good gun that fits me well. If you shoot one and like the way it fits you, then I say get yourself one. It is one of many good pistol choices out there.

Can people speak to the PX4's accuracy and trigger reset on DA/SA models?
Not my favorite (don't care for the nearly T shape of the grip), but I am thinking about one...

I've only had limited trigger time with the gun in question but my experience with the PX4 in 40 was quite surprising.

but I loved the PX4 40. if I ever got the chance to pick one up in 9mm for a good deal I would jump on it right away.

I test fired the 9mm Compact at Point Blank Range in Mooresville, NC. Very nice pistol. Great sights. Excellent TDA trigger pull. Wonderful ergonomics. Low recoil. Reliable. Very accurate and easy to shoot quickly. I only went with a Sig P250 because I wanted an even simpler manual of arms, but it was close. I very much appreciate the extra safety features of the TDA with a manual slide decocking safety.
The Beretta Storm pistols are VERY safe to handle in loading and un-loading, but also if you ever need to pull the gun out in public. They are, IMHO, safer for holding attackers at gunpoint than most other designs, and if you actually need to use the weapon, it switches to an easy to hit with single action after the first shot. Then there is the "hidden" safety that you know how to operate without even thinking about it (after a bit of practice).

Purchased a PX4 Storm full size for my wife and she likes it(she hated my Glocks). Having fired it extensively I'd say it functioned flawlessly and handled nicely. She wanted a 9mm for around the house since my 10mm's were a bit to much for her. Overall its a excellent gun for the price.

Thanks for all the feedback guys. From all the info I've received so far, it sounds like I may have made a good choice overall. The 9mm compact storm, is gonna be my next choice. Hopefully in about 2 weeks or so. Can't wait to get that gun!

Between the 2 best 40's IMHO, my Px4 40/G being the_first, followed by 2 Sig P229/40's, one thing remains -
Both have the reliability/consistency/accuracy and are soft, balanced, very forgiving, shooters - But, during any long down-times, in-between range time, the Beretta Px4 is, by far, the easiest, fastest, gun, to get back on-target with the first cold mags worth of POA - POI (without use of laser)
Proven gun, forgiving gun/s, and why I support anyone's need of information when it comes to either Px4 or Sig
