Beretta PX4 Storm feedback

I have not heard anything about reliability being a problem with them. I almost purchased one but went with the Stoeger Cougar in 9mm instead. You can see if you can get in contact with a member here, Lonestar49. He has helped me when I asked him about the pistol and has what I would say sufficient experience with them.

No problems with mine, in either .40 or 9mm. The subcompact 9 also accepts the 20 rounder carbine mag for extended fun at the range. By the way Mitlov, that holster pic you posted, appears to show the SUB compact version .

High caliber, is that the 20 rd mag in it in the pic? Can you get a grip spacer adapter for it? I know you can get the 17 rd mags with spacers

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I tried one out and it's simply too big for my hand--I couldn't remotely reach the safety/decocker switch with my thumb. Not even close. In fact, most every double-stack pistol I tried had the same issue.

Now looking at either a Springfield XDS (if I ultimately decide to go semi-automatic) or a Ruger LCR (if I decide to go with a revolver). Thanks everyone for responding though :)

As I mentioned earlier, most will simply use the safety/decocker on pistols of this type merely as a decocker. They will insert the loaded magazine, rack the slide, engage the safety/decocker (you could even use your off hand), and then return the safety/decocker to the "fire" position. You now have a pistol that is as safe to carry as a loaded revolver. Most will not carry their DA/SA auto with the safety engaged.

Now looking at either a Springfield XDS (if I ultimately decide to go semi-automatic) or a Ruger LCR (if I decide to go with a revolver).

While they will be an advantage for concealed carry, they will be less pleasant to shoot for home defense and recreational shooting than a full size/mid size gun.

using it for everything from home defense to camping to recreational shooting to occasional conceal-carry.

A couple of weeks ago my brother and I were looking at various compact 9mm's and I handled the PX4 sub compact and I think it is a well made pistol but the over all weight of the thing is way more than I would be happy carrying on a daily basis.
I looked up the weight of it later and found it weighs slightly over 26 ounces with magazine inserted and empty.
My PM9 fully loaded comes in at 20 ounces.
Big difference too me.

Yes it is the factory 9mm 20 rounder . That px4 magazine already has the extended "spacer baseplate", but when you load it into a "sub" compact px4 ( ie, the model without the rotating barrel ) it looks as you see it in the picture.
