I'm doing nothing too wild or crazy really. Really just something to put this Langdon trigger job kit in as well as a few other goodies.
I am thinking a regular 92FS. No rail, just the classic Beretta look. I don't have one of those at the moment. It will be an Italian made one. I've mentioned in other posts that US made guns are just fine but Beretta's an Italian company and it just drives me bonkers to have one not made there. I'm the same way with Glocks that are made over here instead of Austria.
I haven't decided yet on Bruniton or Inox. At the moment I'm kind of liking the Inox, but that changes hourly.
I tend to worry about small things like that and make a big deal out of it and drive myself nuts. Like this...
There is a 99.99% chance the 92fs would be just fine. But I worry about the sights on the standard one. I can't change them out. What if I need night sights? What if I get the Inox model and don't like the red/orange front sight? I blow little **** like that out of proportion and over think it.
I got myself thinking well if I decide I don't like those sights I could stick a Vertec slide on there and I'd be able to replace them. Except that all the Vertec slides I've seen are stamped made in USA, so that would solve one problem but it would then drive me crazy for not being Italian.
That whole line of thinking got me completely turned around to wondering if I should just hold off until I get notification from Bud's (or somewhere) that an Italian made Inox Brigadier is in stock.
