I’ve never felt like my life depended on the bullet I had loaded, whatever it may be, I have always felt that it depended on my ability to put it where it needed to be. I don’t think a B/G will know the difference between a “free” SWC I cast from tire weights or a premium dedicated self defense bullet from one of the big name companies.

Ah, a voice in the wilderness. Ever wonder how folks survived during the dark days of non Gold Dots, Talons and such. A 38SPECIAL wad cutter can punch a pretty good hole in human flesh. Your average bad guy is pretty much done when body smacked with a bullet. Now for those that are hyped up or just plain gonzo nothing short of a head shot will do.

Yes...but only for me. Considering your response I should probably have been more precise...no Berry's in my SD loads. How's that! In my defense, I have one foot in the "Don't load your own SD loads!" camp, AND, I've never tried Speer GDHP.

I'm well suited with Self Defense rounds for .380ACP and 9mm. Building up an inventory of SD rounds for .40 S&W and .45 ACP, as well as 380/9mm at AmmoSquared.com.
