For the record : NOTHING wrong with Berry's plated bullets ,I myself normally reload K's every year and have NO complaints . Great to practice with and as reasonably accurate as anyone Else's .
Now for Yester Year True accounts :
Flip the WAY BACK machine Sherman ; As I can PERSONALLY attest to in a court room DA's used to go NUTS OH , on Saturday night specials . Were any of you aware James Bond carried a Saturday night special ??.
According to a DA I had a run in with , charged ME because it had HP's . According to that DA HP's were used for one purpose KILLING People and had NO business in society and anyone carrying or using them for any purpose should be locked up .
Well let me tell you what happened ; MY Lawyer slammed the DA's face flat in court legally and technically . HP bullets were and are used in Hunting applications of near every make and description . Also the Search an seizure was totally illegal ,as was the inept actions of a State trooper !. Damn FOOL almost killed ME ,flipping the safety OFF while attempting to separate the magazine from the Walther all the while his finger was on the Trigger POINTING right at ME !. IF it had not been for and additional Local PD officer ,coming up behind on foot witnessing the entire incident ,things could have gotten ugly REAL QUICK .
I had already arm slapped the State trooper and caught MY gun mid air and was releasing the magazine ,when I heard HANDS ON THE BED . I immediately complied of course . He walked up and TOOK MY pistol ,pulled the slide and out popped the round . He told the State trooper TOO BACK OFF and stand down while he radioed for back up . He talked with the trooper ,then talked with ME separately . Also said he saw the whole thing and would testify in court as to why I took the gun back . Charges were dropped ( a Misdemeanor ) for carrying a concealed weapon within MY property aka Truck . Seems the Trooper admitted to local PD ,he had suspicion I was carrying a concealed weapon on MY person . A Total Lie ,as I showed the local PD exactly WHERE MY pistol was kept inside MY cab under the seat out of reach while operating it . He looked inside MY cab confirmed exactly what I had told him and NO locking glove box . He took over at that point ,issued ME a citation and I'd have to appear in court ,as the State trooper would press charges .
Here is where it gets INTERESTING TO SAY THE LEAST !. Court Judge Lawyers LIES DECEIT THEFT . MY lawyer tore the Trooper a new one as he perjured himself ,not once twice but three times and the local PD Backed MY story totally . The CROOKED Judge confiscated MY property because of HP's and fined ME $220.00 , That's correct because the pistol had HOLLOW POINTS . Not because I had done anything other than have a loaded concealed weapon inside the cab of MY truck .
So I immediately filed paper work to have MY LEGAL property RETURNED TO ME . I pursued it until it's conclusion . So when I went to the court property clerk with paper work , She told ME they had NO weapon ,it had been ordered destroyed and was consequently sent to a larger municipality Sheriff's Dept. for destruction . Little did they know I had a connection and asked to see the paper work on it's arrival log . NO WEAPON matching that description had been received !!!!!!!!!!. So where was MY Pistol ??. I contacted MY lawyer he advised to DROP the pursuit ,as it would just lead to MORE trouble . Funny how it's easy for someone else to say forget about it ,when IT'S YOUR MONEY !.
OK I had several friends within the Gun industry and one backstabber amongst them , an amateur Gun Smith ,who just so happened WORKED on MY pistol and slicked it up perfectly !. Guess who the State Trooper was married too ?. The Gun Smiths Daughter ,so it was his Son in law who just happened to believe I carried that weapon on my person !. Un huh yeah you bet you !!. Found that out several years later ,just before I did a remodel for that Gun Smith electrician !. I made BACK MY guns profit and then some ,as I had bought another one a few weeks after they STOLE MINE .
Fast forward #44 years : I get a phone call one afternoon a strange call it was from that large municipality ,asking ME to confirm MY identity ,so I tell Them they can contact ME at our local Sheriff's dept. and they will confirm MY identity for Me . Agreed . So I receive the call through Sheriff's Dept. and they inform Me ,they're in possession of a pistol which is registered TOO ME and do I want to claim it . So I asked them Where it was found ,they DON'T tell Me .
So I told them I have paper work for the return of MY property which was stolen and it's ALL on record . So again I ask where was MY property found after 44 years ,because I will get a court order demanding pertinent information pertaining to MY PROPERTY . It came from the estate of Judge so and so ,upon his demise his Wife turned over Dozens of items ,after trying to peddle them at a LGS apparently and one of the Rifles was VERY valuable and was reported stolen . That's the Story I got from a DA and Sheriff's Dept. . True Story !. So don't any of You think that the law is on your side , because they're on the side who signs their pay checks PERIOD !.
