I am loading 9mm using Tite group powder. I down loaded the load data from the Hodgen site but there is no info on Berry's 115gr plated RN. Do I use the load data for 115gr LRN?
You know, I just did range test for plated 40S&W Berry's/X-Treme bullets in 165/180 gr (will post range results after I upload the target pictures) and working on continuing my Berry's plated HBRN-TP bullet testing with 124 gr and 115 gr bullets using Bullseye/Titegroup/W231/HP-38/N320 - http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?p=9265183#post9265183
While Hodgdon has load data for 124 gr plated RN but not for 115 gr plated RN; however, you can use the heavier 124 gr load data of 3.1-4.1 gr for the lighter 115 gr bullet. With 115 gr Berry's HBRN-TP, using 1.135" OAL, I am planning to start at 3.8 gr and test 4.0 and 4.2 gr then perhaps 4.3/4.4 gr.
BTW, with Berry's regular plated bullets, I have used lead load data with good results. If you are using 1.125"-1.135" OAL, I would suggest start charge of 3.8 gr and test 4.0 and 4.2 gr.
115 gr Lead RN Titegroup OAL 1.100" Start 3.9 gr (1075 fps) 25,800 CUP - Max 4.3 gr (1151 fps) 30,500 CUP
115 gr Speer GDHP Titegroup OAL 1.125" Start 4.5 gr (1135 fps) 29,500 CUP - max 4.8 gr (1158 fps) 30,500 CUP
Found about 130 bullets in a box under the bench of either Berry's or Rainiers and loaded them up with 4.2gr of titegroup. Shot them in a practice match yesterday. they worked great. There were a few plates at 25yds and they hit point of aim with no problem.
After we shot at clay pidgons at 30yds. Much harder. Fun day!
