any one have any experience with Berry's .40 Cal 155gr HBRN with either Power Pistol or HS6? Pick up the wrong box at Sportsmans. Have not used hollow base bullets before. any quirks or concerns?

Berry's HB bullets shoot great, have tried many flavors and they fly straight and true. I loaded with power pistol, 231, n350 very accurate.

Not to mention that one could make tracer rounds with those hollow backs. I'm not saying that it should be done, just saying :what:

The idea is that the lead removed from the center is used to make the body of the bullet longer for greater accuracy, and it works. Just use the same loads and OAL you'd use on the standard Berry 155gr RN or similar.

Some of the powder makers are now showing specific loads just for bullets from Berry Mfg. Try first at the powder manufacturer's web site.

Thanks for the replies. Good to know that I dont have to pull hairs out to use them. :)

atonguis - Have you ever made tracers before. I know that there is a product that is a sticker you can put on the base of a bullet and it is a tracer. What other ways can you do that? do you have any links?

First of all, let me say "Don't DO IT" I had to say that because it can be very dangerous if you do not know what you are doing, not to mention it could ruin your gun or set property on fire.

If you google making tracer rounds you will find all the info you need if you look thru the B.S. stuff from kids.

Plenty of info out there plus there are a few books for sale that show you as well.

I'm Just Saying.

Don't think I would ever make tracers. Was just curious. I just don't want to be that creative.:) I did look it up and definitely not some thing for me.

Anyway, With these hollow base bullets, does the COL change or should I just use my normal 1.125".

thanks
