So I picked up a bersa a couple months ago and finally got a chance to take it to the range this weekend.. While shooting I notced that after firing a round the slide will reach its rearmost position and then very slowly start to chamber the round, then it seems like when it finally gets the next round out of the magazine it slams forward. The gun was properly lubricated any tips on how to fix this? Does it need a stronger recoil spring or what.

It probably just needs break-in. How many rounds have you got through it?

What ammo are you using? Remington Golden Sabers don't feed well in my Bersa 380; they're just too sharp in the front.

By "properly lubricated" what do you mean? Factory lube? I'd clean it really well, then just put a drop of CLP on each rail and one spread on the outside of the barrel.

They must be cleaned real good to get all that shipping gunk out of them . Shoot only ball for a 100 rounds then you can try HP. many Bersa don't care for the Winchester white box .
Please also don't touch the rear sight Leave it centered till your really used to shooting it. The sight is locki tighten if you move will likely loose sight blade screw and spring.

Now come to http://bersachat.com and we will get you up to speed on holsters extra mags and any other questions.
