Bersa 83 Grips

A friend of mine has an older Bersa 83 that has the rounded wooden grips on it. Does anyone know if the polymer grips for the Thunder 380 will the 83, or if not can be made to fit without too much hassle? The thick grips can make it rather difficult to conceal the thing.

I saw a Bersa 83 at a gun show recently that had a pair of Bersa black polymore grips on it, so somehow it can be done.

Well, on a whim a pair of stock polymer grips for the Bersa Thunder 380 were purchased. After they arrived they were installed on the Bersa 83 and they fit just fine. No issues, nothing to modify, they just bolted right on. So, contrary to the word of one gun dealer and a staffer at Eagle Imports, Thunder 380 grips fit the old 83 just fine.
