At the moment, I'm looking to sell my Walther P22 in order to purchase a Bersa Thunder 22. I've been going round and round about this whether to keep the Walther or to sell it. Although it is already posted, I would like so know what everyone thinks about both firearms and which one they'd keep.

You decide. Should I keep the Walther P22 or should I sell it and buy the Bersa Thunder 22?

Thanks for your advise. :)

Depends on why you are even considering this. Are you dissatisfied with the Walther? If not, what's the point of getting rid of it for one you have not tried?
Were it me considering buying one of the two, I'd probably go with the Bersa. I own neither, but have owned both the Thunder 380 (still do), and the PPK/S. In those configurations, the Bersa comes out ahead to me. But, if I already had one (in either .380 or .22), I would see no reason to trade it for the other.
I did not respond to the poll because I don't get it yet.

I too own a Bersa .380. I have been looking hard at the Bersa .22 as a less expensive practice gun. I have shot the Walther P22 several times. They do fine. I have heard of people having issues with some of them. I personally sent a friend's back to S&W because of a cracked slide. I have no experience with the Bersa Thunder .22.

THE P22 I had was turned into a rattling hunk-a-junk by 7000 rounds of 22LR ammunition. I sent it back to S&W who totally re-built and I gave the damn thing away after that.
THE BERSA 22 I've had for 20+ years has nearly 20,000 rounds though it and has yet to malfunction on so much as a single round; NOT ONE[1] !!!

first off i have no personal expierence with either, but i have done a good bit of “research“ on both. I wanted a smaller 22 than my Ruger MKIII. Based on my research i would go with the bersa. Seems to have a good overall reputation where the walther’s is ify.

That being said i ended up going a dirrent route getting the colt/umarex 1911. i have been very plased

I have many years of ownership of a bersa .22

they are fine

I had a p22 and it was a nice piece ... of something

the Bersa .22 is built on the .380 frame, nearly identical schematics. built like a tank.

My old man's .380 made enough of a believer to order the .22 version for my eldest daughter.

I shot around 300 rounds the a P22 and recently bough the SR22 and have owned the Firestorm 22 for about 1+ yrs I guess.

While I liked the P22 and the SR22 even more.... if i could only keep one Id probably choose the Firestorm even though the SR22 has been less picky on ammo.

Having said that... Ive always liked and wanted that style of pistol... so I may be biased that way.
