Real deal? $220 for new thunder where I live + tax of course. Oh this is a little mom and pop store Not a large chain. I have never been in a GM and will never spend money in the type stores.

I ogled one at a show yesterday priced at $199 and really ogled big brother Bersa (15 round) Plus at $269.

but no... bought ammo instead.

I tell you, the Bersa 85 was the top gun I regretted not getting before the 10 round mag cap law. Now that the Plus is out now, looks like I'll be getting one of those before the next ban.

I bought an extra mag at Gander for $29.99; I've seen prices vary quite a bit for extra magazines both in stores and online. This pistol only came with one magazine. I jokingly asked the salesperson if they took the extra mag out. He laughed, and said they only came with one magazine.

I'm also amazed at wide fluctuations of firearms prices; are firearms possibly generally cheaper in different regions of the country? The $250.00 for the Bersa is one of the best prices I've seen in Minnesota. I know handguns must be purchased in the state in which you reside, but I can't help but think about checking out prices on a road trip to another state.

Or maybe I need to make friends with an owner of a local gun shop...

:D

I went into a GM for the first time last friday, and while I was impressed with their selection, I was shocked at their prices!

And I over heard the salesman telling another customer that if they find a better price that GM will match it. (the other store must have the item in stock) Why not just price your products at the best price to begin with?

Anyway, if you are happy, that is what counts for you.

Enjoy your new pistol.
