Ordered extractor parts for my Bersa 45 over the net. Received them in about a week with one small problem, they were for the Bersa 380. Called Bersa and told them that I also had a 380 so no harm no foil, but I still needed the 45 parts and was willing to pay again for them. Was told that they would send me the right parts no charge. About a week later I had my 45 parts. Good service to me is when they make a mistake, and we all do, they take care of it. Good customer service from Bersa.

Glad to hear it. I recently purchased an extra key & barrel for my Bersa 45. They only charged $2 for the key & $28 for the barrel & I received them in less than a week. Were you having problems, or were you just buying an extra?

I've had extractor trouble that just got worse as time went on. It would pull the case half way out and jam the next round under it. What I found when I replaced the Extractor, pin, and spring was that the new spring was different. Smaller in diameter and I'm guessing that the new one is the proper spring because of the way it fits. Wrong spring from the factory? Who knows. I haven't had time to take it for a test drive yet but I so hope it works, this is a very accurate little gun and we have bounded.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. I've only got a little over 150 through my recently purchased Bersa, but I couldn't be happier. Very accurate & reliable so far. A friend who shot my Bersa for the first time did have a failure to go completely into battery on his second shot (100 rounds through the pistol prior to this range session). He pushed the slide home & proceeded to empty the mag without a problem. We then put another 50 rounds through it without any malfunctions at all (The first 100 were also malfunction free). He believed it was a user malfunction as he was trying to short stroke the trigger. Don't know if that's possible, but nevertheless the pistol seems very reliable & it hasn't malfunctioned at all with me. I even went as far at to load a couple of mixed magazines of Winchester White Box, Wolf, & UMC to see if the pistol would malfunction, & the gun went through them all without a hitch. If it continues to function this well it will be a keeper & possibly a CCW firearm. Hopefully your problem will now be corrected. Keep us posted on your extraction issues.

Bersa update

Went to the range Saturday to test the new extractor parts. Turns out that besides the extractor, it also needs a new barrel. After many thousands of rounds, I've worn out the barrel and even with the new parts tearing chunks out of the brass, the old barrel won't let the brass go. Ordered one this morning ($28.00) from Bersa. This will put it back in good condition. If you don't own a Bersa you may be asking why is this guy spending all this time on a relatively cheap gun. I really like this gun, and it will out shoot my new ruger 45 and my Beretta Elite II 40.
